On November 13, 2007, the Board of the ETSCA
approved the proposal to hold the first Zone Specialty
in DesMoines, IA on Labor Day weekend.

I know it is early but I wanted to get some information out to those of you who might be considering coming to Des Moines in September. Here is the schedule of shows:

Friday, Sept. 5-ETSCA Zone 6 Regional Specialty (as part of the Combined Specialty Clubs of Greater Des Moines)

    Judge for Regular Classes and Jr. Show-Mr. Stephen Hurt
    Judge for Sweeps-Mr. Jeff Wright
    Judges for Obedience will be assigned later

Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7-Des Moines Kennel Club All Breed Shows

    Breed Judges-Mr. Thomas Kilcullen and Mrs. Nancy Liebes
    Obedience and Jr. Show judges are not yet assigned

Monday, Sept. 8-It is unclear at this time whether there will be a Monday All Breed show, but we are hoping that there will be.

The show will be held at the Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds at East 30th and Grand in Des Moines, IA. There is an Econolodge just outside the gates to the Fairgrounds. The Econolodge is about 2 years old. Theresa Cousins has booked a block of rooms there at the rate of $64 per night. I would suggest making reservations very early. (You can always cancel them!)

We will have a dinner for those in the group who wish to attend on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Latin King, and will also make reservations for Sunday night somewhere. We will provide a complete listing of events at a later date.
